In Pine Technical \u0026 Community College's AET program the student will be introduced to, and become efficient with, computer-aided design (CAD) software. Students will focus on building a foundation of knowledge in Statics, Kinematics, Machine Design, Manufacturing Processes, Automation, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Metrology. They will also be introduced to complimentary manufacturing functions such as basic machine shop, welding, and automation to provide them with the basic language and skills of these processes needed to make their designs a reality.Students will be able to develop both the technical skills that are associated with the subjects above and soft skills by working on projects individually and within groups, and learning their role in the bigger picture of the Manufacturing industry. They will learn the importance of teamwork and how individual responsibilities correlate to the overall success of a project. These projects will simulate projects in industry. Students will become familiar with project scopes, timelines, system designs, project documentation, individual and group responsibilities, and manufacturability of their designs. This two-year AAS degree has been designed to transfer to a bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology."},"ceterms:estimatedCost":[{"@type":"ceterms:CostProfile","ceterms:price":9464.0,"ceterms:currency":"USD","ceterms:costDetails":"http://www.pine.edu","ceterms:description":{"en-US":"Estimated total Minnesota resident tuition and fees for all program required courses are shown.
