The intent of the program is to meet the growing need for technicians in Connecticut and the nation. This program furthers the college's mission to \"respond to the changing academic, occupational, technological needs\" by offering \"a broad range of credit (technical, career, and academic) programs and courses leading to employment, transfer, and lifelong learning.\" The automotive curriculum is designed to meet all Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (A.S.E.) Accredited Training Program requirements for national accreditation at the Master Automotive Service Technician (MAST) level. \r\nThe Automotive Technology: Comprehensive Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) program at Gateway Community College is accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation as an ASE Accredited Training Program.This Program will prepare Students for the G1, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 \u0026amp; L1 ASE exams upon completion of work length time requirements.
