The AzAIMH  Endorsement® is based on a set of competencies designed to support and enhance culturally sensitive, relationship focused practice within the framework of infant mental health. These skills are essential for professionals working with infants, toddlers, and their families to promote healthy development and well-being. Understanding early childhood mental health is crucial for recognizing and addressing mental health concerns in young children. Family mental health skills enable professionals to support the mental health needs of the entire family unit. Proficiency in emotional health and self-regulation helps professionals model and teach healthy emotional expression and coping skills. Patient family education is essential for empowering families to support their children's mental health needs.
