During the course of this program students will be exposed to strategies designed for profitability for the farmer, environmental protection, and animal husbandry. There are many strategies in place for this to happen. Instructors in the Animal Science program should be given the flexibility to deliver material in the manner most appropriate for each individual class. While each students learning experience may be different it should also be the most appropriate for their particular style of learning. Instructors should be encouraged to present material in a way that fosters this type of educational experience. Quality of material will be held to the highest standards. This will be achieved by using the most recently updated textbooks, and keeping up with industry standards and trends. Students will gain an understanding of animal science through lectures, assignments, class projects, field trips, and instructional plots. These experiences should showcase animal agriculture in action and further support topics discussed in class."},"ceterms:accreditedBy":["https://credentialengineregistry.org/resources/ce-20b0d337-c2de-43b5-a994-d3f4bfc70b78"],"ceterms:occupationType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://www.onetcenter.org/taxonomy.html","ceterms:targetNode":"https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/11-9013.00","ceterms:codedNotation":"11-9013.00","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Standard Occupational Classification"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Farmers, Ranchers, and Other Agricultural Managers"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Plan, direct, or coordinate the management or operation of farms, ranches, greenhouses, aquacultural operations, nurseries, timber tracts, or other agricultural establishments.
