The Associate in Science degree (AS) in Engineering: Mechanical, Aerospace and Manufacturing Track will prepare students for a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace and Manufacturing Engineering to a four-year college or university or may provide students with a foundation for further study in other areas of Science. This AS degree may not satisfy all transfer requirements for specific institutions. Students should consult a counselor for major preparation for specific universities and colleges. Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs): Students who complete the program will be able to: 1. Use the knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering to solve complex but relevant engineering problems. 2. Communicate effectively both orally as well as in writing and become critical thinkers and lifelong learners. 3. Show professionalism by following ethical principles, which are vital in mechanical, aerospace or manufacturing engineering disciplines.\n\nPlease see the college Catalog for the most up-to-date description."},"ceterms:accreditedBy":["_:cfd32a7e-03f9-41f6-a1cd-0f74b54673d9"],"ceterms:dateEffective":"2019-02-01","ceterms:occupationType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://www.bls.gov/soc/","ceterms:targetNode":"https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/17-2141.00","ceterms:codedNotation":"17-2141.00","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Standard Occupational Classification"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Mechanical Engineers"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
