Indiana Wesleyan University partners with flight schools to bring you local flight training early in the program so you can build flight hours as you complete your bachelor's-level courses fully online. This unique, faith-based program takes approximately four (4) years to complete and gives you the degree to back your piloting skills. And it allows you to cover some of your flight training with the help of financial aid.\n\nAt the end of this program, you'll graduate with:\n- FAA Private Pilot Certificate\n- FAA Commercial Certificate with a Single or Multi-Engine Land Class Rating\n- FAA Instrument Rating\n- FAA Certified Flight Instructor\n- A bachelor's degree from IWU, a regionally accredited university\nAlready have flight certifications and ratings? You may be eligible to receive up to 27 semester credits in transfer toward completing your bachelor's degree in aviation management.\n \nYou'll Learn How To\n- Merge leadership and piloting skills to safely operate an aircraft in various settings\n- Integrate your faith and use it as a foundation for decision-making\n- Develop skills for business management, specifically in the aviation industry\n- Become a lifelong learner, manager, and pilot who is adept in risk management, decision-making and aeronautical knowledge\n- Develop piloting skills according to Airman Certification Standards (ACS) for both a commercial and instrument-rated pilot as described by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)\n\nWho Is The Ideal Candidate For This Program?\nThis program requires grit and dedication. The ideal candidate works part-time, or is able to be a full-time student while enrolled in flight training. You must devote three to four-hour blocks of time four to five times per week to complete flight and ground training.
