Admis- sion to the interdisciplinary BME program requires an undergraduate background that includes elementary coursework in bio- medical engineering, biotechnology, biology, clinical science, pharmaceutical science and also includes any branch of science and en- gineering that permeates through the Fun- damentals and advanced courses in engi- neering and the life sciences. The program offers innovative educational strategy that integrates biological sciences and engineer- ing, and applies engineering tools, methods and practices to solve problems in biology and medicine. Graduates of our programs are expected to be highly-skilled biomedi- cal engineers, and scientists who understand the ethical, social and economic implications of their work.
