Building on a Political Science foundation, students majoring in Pre-Law will explore the various fields of legal studies while refining their abilities in communication, writing, research, and critical reasoning. Students will receive training from full-time academics and practicing legal professionals. Internship placements will provide hands-on experience with those in public service or elected office. Students majoring in Pre-Law are strongly encouraged to pursue a second, complimentary field of study to further strengthen a skill set or more deeply understand an area of legal practice.\n\nRecent graduates of this program have been accepted into some of the nation's premier law schools. For more than thirty years, we have successfully shaped future leaders who are looking toward a career in law, government, or considering advanced studies. Our graduates enter law school with confidence, knowing they can meet the challenge of their instructors and high expectations of the legal profession. The program has also prepared students for careers in education, business, policy analysis, research, political campaigning, and government service.\n\nThe Pre-Law program will challenge students to consider a career in the legal professions as a calling. Our recent graduates today can be found in private practice, public service, and government office. Students are prepared for these professions as opportunities for Christian service. Are you up to the challenge?"},"ceterms:occupationType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://www.bls.gov/soc/","ceterms:targetNode":"https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/19-3094.00","ceterms:codedNotation":"19-3094.00","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Standard Occupational Classification"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Political Scientists"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Study the origin, development, and operation of political systems.
