Over five weeks, delivered either fully online or fully in person, it covers: the roles of the training professional and performance diagnosis; why short courses often fail to change performance; job analysis and task prioritisation; knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSA) and learner profiling; training needs analysis and root-cause diagnosis; the skill/will matrix and the choice between training and management interventions; the 70:20:10 learning model; learning pathway blueprints with behavioural objectives; evaluation using the Kirkpatrick model; and estimating return on investment, including isolating the effects of training. Learners complete weekly exercises on a real workplace case and a graduation project: a written performance-engineering document and a 15-minute live presentation to a simulated executive, assessed against a published 100-point rubric. The programme comprises 25 training hours. A Certificate of Completion is awarded after the learner completes the weekly exercises and the graduation project is assessed against the rubric. Each certificate carries a unique number that can be checked publicly at bstraining.uk.
