The series consists of a general helping skills course along with five addiction counseling-specific courses. The courses follow the domain topics as prescribed by the Addiction Professional Certification Board of New Jersey, Inc. and can be used toward completion of the requirements for a CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor). There are additional requirements for CADC, including 3,000 hours of related work experience at a drug and alcohol addiction treatment program.
