Hands-on classes concentrate on pipe joining, pipe materials and basic pipe fitting practices.  The second semester covers plumbing code requirements, installation requirements for drain, waste and vent systems, water pipe systems, gas pipe systems, gas venting systems, cross connection and backflow prevention.
