It is a hybrid of online and in-person programming in collaboration North Hennepin Community College. The college course will include doing blood draws and classroom time. PPL in-house Employment Specialists cover the additional skills needed to navigate a new work sector and the healthcare industry. Clinical hours includes three weeks at a Fairview clinic or hospital doing blood draws on patients and getting hands on experience. The last element to this program is the ASCP test. By passing the ASCP test, participants will have achieved the highest level of certifications for phlebotomy.
