The Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership is a specialized degree program. Students will participate in coursework designed to prepare them to respond to the challenges faced by professionals in the field of higher education administration. Core coursework will explore leadership and change management theory; analysis of demographic trends; assessment and evaluation practices; exploring the delivery of all aspects of student services; and solving problems of practice. Following the core, students will select a four-course concentration in either Student Affairs or Administration. At the end of the program, students will demonstrate mastery of educational research, planning, methodology, and design as they work towards the completion of an action research project in the capstone courses.\nThe Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership degree is not designed to fulfill the educational requirements for any educational credential, such as a state teacher's license or TESOL certification. Post University assists in researching and providing information regarding licensure; however, each state has different requirements for such licensure outside of the required education. Such state requirements may include licensure exams, background checks, certain work experience, and more. It is ultimately the responsibility of each student to manage their own licensure process and to ensure that all requirements are met in order for the student to obtain licensure.
