With an A.S. in Nursing, students are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse (RN).  The A.S. Degree in Nursing provides a broad foundation in nursing and healthcare sciences necessary for preparing professional nurses for practice in a competent and responsible fashion  in a dynamic and diverse society.
