Please note that students will be required to complete 160 hours of practical experience with a Certified Tumor Registrar at a Cancer Registry site. Students who have previously earned an AAS or higher in any major may be admitted into the diploma program.\n\nThe CIM program prepares graduates to work in cancer centers, hospitals, government agencies, and pharmaceutical companies. CIM workers manage, analyze, and maintain clinical cancer information databases that are used in research, quality management, facility planning, program development, and compliance.\n\nThe CIM program meets the formal requirements established by the National Cancer Registrar's Association (NCRA) and has been awarded full accreditation from the NCRA. Students completing the program are eligible to sit for the Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) Exam. The Cancer Information Management program is accredited by the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA).\n\nIn addition to the general admission requirements of the college, applicants to this program must meet specific program admission and grading criteria.
