The project classes can change from year to year but examples are: Traditional Wall Cabinet, Side Table, Workbench, Table from Rough Boards, and Tool Chest. In 2019 the project will be the Dutch Tool Chest. Each class is one week long and may be taken in succession or not. The first two classes give a comprehensive introduction into the use and care of hand tools and essential woodworking skills. In the project class students are guided through the process of building a shop fixture or simple piece of furniture that they will take home using the traditional woodworking skills they have learned. Students who have successfully completed Hand Tool Heaven: Working with Saws and Planes and one of the Joinery classes may take any of the Week 3 project classes, however only one project class is needed for a certificate.
