The courses review rules of the road along with the methodology of how to present the material in a manner appropriate for student learning. Instructors need a clean driving record, no criminal history and knowledge of NH driving laws. The first step in becoming a certified instructor is to obtain Provisional Certification.  \"Instructors\" may apply for the Provisional Certification after completion of the first three courses of the program, and basic state requirements, (including but not limited to: valid driver's license; minimum of five consecutive years of licensed driving experience; and of good character, reputation and fitness to instruct driver education).  Provisional Certification can only be obtained through a written and driving exam at the Division of Motor Vehicles in Concord, N.H. Provisional Certification allows instructors to teach at a certified driving school or high school under supervision.
