For students who want to transfer to UC Berkeley or UC Merced specifically, completion of Art 201 is strongly recommended. For students who want to teach at the elementary education level, Art 103 is strongly recommended. For students who want to pursue an entrylevel career track, Art 521, Art 531 are recommended, but they are not transferrable to UCs as part of the Art History major.
