The MS is designed to strengthen an individual's competencies in special education and prepare them for positions of leadership in area schools and agencies working with individuals with disabilities. Students complete a minimum of 36 credit hours for this degree. In most cases, graduate students may use some of the coursework taken for licensure toward their graduate degree in special education. Again, students are advised on an individual basis. Students interested in discussing degree requirements should contact the Education Advising Office to arrange an appointment. All degree-seeking students must apply separately for admission to the MS in Education, Special Education degree program.
