Students complete four years of classroom study and on the job training.\r\n\r\nIEC has an industry-based certification approved by the Texas Education Agency for high schools. The certificate, Electrical Apprenticeship Certificate Level 1, can be taught in high schools. After successful completion of the program and passing the IEC exam, a student can complete the first year of IEC's four-year apprenticeship program.
