The HVAC CE Certificate consist of four (4) required course sections: CNBT-1001 Introduction to the Construction Industry HART-1001 Basic Electricity for HVAC HART-1007 Refrigeration Principles (HART-1001 Prerequisite) HART-1056 EPA Recovery Cert Preparation (HART-1007 Prerequisite) In CNBT-1001, students will study topics including OSHA 10 training requirements, construction math, hand and power tools, materials handling and construction drawings. HART-1001 covers principles of electricity as required by HVAC: testing equipment, electrical circuits, and component theory and operation. HART-1007 covers refrigeration cycle, heat transfer theory, temperature/pressure relationship, refrigerant handling, refrigeration components, and safety. HART-1056 is a certification training class focusing on recovery, recycle, and reclaim of HVAC refrigerant.
