The program follows the training rules and regulations implemented by the FMCSA ELDT. FMCSA’s Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations set the baseline for training requirements for entry-level drivers. Curriculum requirements for Class-B CDL training are broken down into three parts: Theory, Behind-The-Wheel (Range), and Behind-The-Wheel (Road). Each part is further broken down into subjects in which students must demonstrate proficiency and pass evaluations with instructors. The first week is Zoom live-stream theory instruction. All students are assigned an online training textbook on day 2 that contains 35 chapters with quizzes which cover the federally required theory subjects. As many hours of training are provided as necessary to achieve desired proficiency. Unlimited simulator and backing range practice. State authorized CDL road test. Interstate schedules the test and provides the truck. US DOT drug screen and physical are provided. New classes start every Monday. Students must call the office and make an appointment for registration. Prerequisites: Valid Class D license or higher, Class B permit with air brakes, must be able pass DOT physical, drug screen and English Assessment.
