Combination of skills can be used to obtain employment in hospitals, physician offices and a number of health care settings. The program places emphasis on the safe practice of collecting adequate and correct blood specimens by capillary or venipuncture on adults, children and neonates. The second part of the program includes the correct and accurate obtaining of EKG tracing of cardiac monitoring. The program consists of classroom, simulated laboratory setting and clinical externship. Upon completion--the students will render compassionate patient care to all patients and will perform as an integral member of the health care team with competence and confidence.
