It involves the identification, preservation, examination, and analysis of digital evidence, using scientifically accepted and validated processes. The gathered information then can be used to identify the breach, source attribution, and recovery of any compromised data. Discovering and investigating sophisticated breaches and providing adequate responses, going beyond the minds of hackers and analyzing their techniques, tactics, and procedures, and intelligence gathering are some critical aspects of the digital forensics field. The graduate certificate in Digital Forensics and Investigations is an 18 credit hour program with a hybrid delivery model (online and face-to-face). The certificate consists of a subset of courses from the MS in Cyber Operations degree. These courses are designed to provide students with both conceptual and technical background along with the necessary hands-on experiences. The goal of the proposed certificate is to provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to develop the next generation of a technologically capable workforce and business-aware cyber forensics leaders who can identify various artifacts and indicators of compromises, and investigate different types of breaches and incidents, and protect digital assets from a wide variety of very capable adversaries. The program will enable graduates to seek employment opportunities in the military, government, and private sectors."},"ceterms:estimatedCost":[{"@type":"ceterms:CostProfile","ceterms:price":7274.0,"ceterms:currency":"USD","ceterms:costDetails":"http://www.metrostate.edu","ceterms:description":{"en-US":"Estimated total Minnesota resident tuition and fees for all program required courses are shown.
