Upon completion, you will receive a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Supervision degree. The IS curriculum provides a variety of courses with more business emphasis than the advanced manufacturing program. The IS program at USI will prepare you for entry into leadership and supervisory roles in manufacturing industries. Building upon Core 39 courses, the IS curriculum provides a foundation from mathematics to the survey of calculus level, English language, communications, the sciences, management and economics. You will learn analytic skills and gain hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial and manufacturing engineering technologies, computer-aided design and business related courses. Gaining real-world industrial experience is easy enough because of USI's Applied Engineering Center (AEC) facility and state of the art industrial equipment. The focus of the AEC is on applying and implementing technology with a practical, hands-on approach for solving real-world manufacturing problems.\n\nAs an IS graduate, you will be highly sought after by local, regional, and national firms engaged in manufacturing, fabrication and construction. IS graduates enjoy an attractive range of assignments."},"ceterms:subjectWebpage":"https://www.usi.edu/science/engineering","ceterms:credentialStatusType":{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/CredentialStatus","ceterms:targetNode":"credentialStat:Deprecated","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Credential Status"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Deprecated"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Awards of the credential have ceased."}},"ceterms:instructionalProgramType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/Default.aspx?y=56","ceterms:targetNode":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/cipdetail.aspx?y=56\u0026cip=15.1501","ceterms:codedNotation":"15.1501","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Classification of Instructional Programs"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Engineering/Industrial Management"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"A program that focuses on the application of engineering principles to the planning and operational management of industrial and manufacturing operations, and prepares individuals to plan and manage such operations.
