The AS-T in Early Childhood Education provides the students with the knowledge and experiences necessary to work as a teacher in a variety of early childhood settings. Students will be able to develop, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum (0 to 8 years old) in an early childhood classroom. Students will be able to apply effective guidance strategies and teaching skills in the early childhood classroom (0 to 8 years old) that fosters young children's emotional, cognitive and physical development. Students will identify and apply professional behaviors and ethical standards when working with children, families, staff, colleagues and communities.
