Classes will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and about every other Wednesday evening. Due to the hands-on nature of this career field, this program is a hybrid of in person and online work. Participants will be online engaging with our BOT Employment Specialist and our PPL curriculum from 5:30 - 8:30pm and then in person at the Minneapolis College lab from 6:00pm - 9:30pm. Minneapolis college is our educational partner for this program and a huge support for this program. Throughout this training participants will be preparing for maintenance technician one positions in the commercial and residential sector. Those who find employment in the residential sector will typically work at an apartment building doing some groundskeeping and going into individual apartments. There is a big emphasis on customer service in residential settings. Those who work in the commercial sector could work in government buildings checking boilers and making sure everything with the building is in order.  We also have 8 involved employer partners who help support this program, and want to hire from this class. City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, State of MN, AEon, SHerman Associates, PPL CommonBond Communities.
