The program is accredited bythe Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling, not offered on a parttime basis, and includes required summer components. The program isdelivered in a hybrid model wherein the didactic classes are offered in anasynchronous online format and the fieldwork/practical training requirestravel to external affiliated hospitals, centers, and clinics. The GeneticCounseling curriculum meets the Accreditation Council for GeneticCounseling (ACGC) requirements in that student training supports the 22practice‐based competencies within four domains: Genetics Expertise andAnalysis; Interpersonal, Psychosocial and Counseling Skills; Education;and Professional Development and Practice.
