This program is funded by the United States Department of Labor through the Career Advanced USA Scaling Apprenticeship Manufacturing grant.    Upon successful completion students will receive 10 college credits for Introduction to Machine Shop Practices,  Conventional Machinist, and Computer Numerical Control  (CNC) Programming \u0026 Computer Aided Manufacturing  (CAM).    This program trains individuals to become machinists concentrating on the skills and concepts needed by today's machine shops and includes computer aided manufacturing software packages that support the industry. The program follows the National Institute Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Level One Machinist skills and will prepare students to be tested for the NIMS Level One machinist certification. NIMS testing is included in this program.
