Classroom offerings begin with an introductory digital imagery course and build upon this foundation with additional digital-based studies. Realizing the importance of traditional techniques and silver gelatin processes, we also provide students with film-based darkroom classes and activities.\n\nPreparation for specific professional pursuits is covered in studio and product lighting classes. Students will gain experience working with professional lighting systems and techniques.\n\nIn response to changing trends in art and the need for developing critical thinking skills as well as an awareness of postmodern approaches to image making, this program challenges emerging student photographers to pursue and develop their own personal vision. The culmination of the program is a public exhibition of a significant body of visual images presented in the final semester of the senior year.\n\nYou choose. Indiana Wesleyan University is proud to now offer a Bachelor of Arts and a more rigoroust Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the Photography program."},"ceterms:occupationType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://www.bls.gov/soc/","ceterms:targetNode":"https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/17-3031.01","ceterms:codedNotation":"17-3031.01","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Standard Occupational Classification"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Surveying Technicians"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Adjust and operate surveying instruments, such as the theodolite and electronic distance-measuring equipment, and compile notes, make sketches and enter data into computers."}},{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://www.bls.gov/soc/","ceterms:targetNode":"https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/17-3031.02","ceterms:codedNotation":"17-3031.02","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Standard Occupational Classification"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Mapping Technicians"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Calculate mapmaking information from field notes, and draw and verify accuracy of topographical maps."}},{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://www.bls.gov/soc/","ceterms:targetNode":"https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/25-1121.00","ceterms:codedNotation":"25-1121.00","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Standard Occupational Classification"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Art, Drama, and Music Teachers, Postsecondary"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Teach courses in drama, music, and the arts including fine and applied art, such as painting and sculpture, or design and crafts.
