You'll be invited to work on research projects, get hands-on experiences in the labs, participate in student groups, and maybe even travel nationally or abroad...all while getting prepared for whatever comes next - from graduate school to entering the workforce.\n\nIn addition to the extensive laboratory and classroom experiences offered through the chemistry program, research opportunities are also available through IU Kokomo's Undergraduate Research Summer Institute (URSI). You can also engage in individual study, which involves selecting a research area of interest, developing that research, and then presenting your findings both in writing and in an oral presentation. You can earn up to 12 elective credit hours through independent study. Research experience is highly encouraged for students who want to attend medical school.
