If currently working in a Montessori school at least one of the observations must be at a different school. Three letters of recommendation who can attest to personal strengths. Applicants who learned English as a second language will be required to take the Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum total score of 74.2 (internet based) or 520 (paper based) will be required for acceptance. The applicant is responsible for registering, taking and the cost of the TOEFL. Test results must be less than two years old. All students will also need home or library access to a computer and high speed internet connection, an email account, and basic computer skills, including email, internet usage, facility with downloading and uploading documents, word processing and presentations. The nine-month practicum provides the student teacher with an opportunity to practice and refine the learning experienced in the academic phase.
