While many radiographers provide services in a hospital setting, others provide services in stand- alone medical imaging centers, mobile radiography providers and private physician offices. Radiography is the gateway to other specialized imaging modalities. With additional education through either employer based training or formal education, radiographers can progress to careers in Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Angiography, Mammography and Quality Management. The program includes clinical experience in various off campus locations that provide radiologic imaging services. Students who complete the Radiology technology program satisfactorily are eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national certification exam."},"ceterms:estimatedCost":[{"@type":"ceterms:CostProfile","ceterms:name":{"en-US":"Cost Profile"},"ceterms:costDetails":"https://westmoreland.edu/admissions_aid/tuition-and-fees/index.html","ceterms:description":{"en-US":"Tuition and Fees at Westmoreland County Community College"}}],"ceterms:occupationType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://www.onetcenter.org/taxonomy.html","ceterms:targetNode":"https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/29-2034.00","ceterms:codedNotation":"29-2034.00","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Standard Occupational Classification"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Radiologic Technologists and Technicians"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Take x-rays and CAT scans or administer nonradioactive materials into patient's bloodstream for diagnostic or research purposes.
