Surgical technologists work as members of the surgical team in a variety of settings, most frequently in the hospital operating rooms. They function under supervision to ensure that the operating room is safe, equipment functions properly, and the operative procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize safety.  When you graduate, you are eligible to take the national certification exam offered by the Liaison Council for Surgical Technologist certification.
