STAR's registered apprenticeship is an innovative training program that combines on-the-job training with related theoretical and practical classroom instruction.  The on-the-job learning is conducted at a SCL Health Care Site. Red Rocks Community College is an academic partner for a portion of the classroom instruction.     The CNA apprenticeship is a competency-based program. Apprentices progress at their own pace as they demonstrate competency in skills and knowledge through proficiency tests.  They must master and meet the requirements for each level before progressing in wage and skill level. Training will include approximately 1870 hours of on-the-job training and 144 hours of job related education.
