To measure the patient's heart rhythm, the cardiac monitor and telemetry technician use calipers on the graphic tape readouts. \n\nThey have direct interaction with the patients and therefore must understand the concept of infection control, standard precautions, communication, basic medical terminologies, legal issues, patient privacy.
