One seeting Must be outpatient and one setting Must be inpatient.\r\n5 Completion of MAT 084 or MAT 093 with a grade of 3P4 or place into MAT 085/095 on\r\nthe Math Placement Test taken at Morton College.\r\n5 Participation in an interview for inclusion and exclusion purposes with the PTA\r\nProgram Admissions Committee. Interviews will be scheduled after February 1. Two letters of recommendation are required\r\n5 Completion of preadmission course work, as follows, with a grade of\r\n3C4 or better within five years of acceptance into the program:\r\n- ENG 101. If ENG 101 was taken more than five years prior to admission into the PTA\r\nProgram, the student may satisfy this requirement by taking the English Placement Test\r\nat Morton College and placing into ENG 101.\r\n- BIO 103 or equivalent four-credit-hour Anatomy and Physiology 1 course.\r\n- PHT 101 or equivalent two credit hour Medical Terminology course.\r\n5 Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 to be considered for\r\nthe program\r\nIn addition students must complete BIO 104 with a grade of 1C' or better by the end of\r\nthe first semester in the program. Failure to achieve this grade will result in dismissal\r\nfrom the PTA program.\r\nApplicants to the PTA program must meet with an admissions healthcare advisor before\r\nthe February 1 deadline to review pre-admission course work.\r\nAdmission into the PTA Program is selective. All prerequisite course work\r\n156\r\nand other admission requirements must be met before final acceptance.
