Course content includes the following: direct current (DC) circuits; alternating current (AC) circuits and analog circuits, solid state and digital devices; microprocessors; use of circuit diagrams and schematics; soldering and chassis assembly techniques; laboratory practices; and technical recording and reporting. The course content also includes training in communication; leadership; human relations; employability skills; and safe, efficient work practices. This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the electronic industry: planning; management; finance; technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology; labor issues; and community, health, safety, and environmental issues. Laboratory Activities: Electronic laboratory activities are an integral part of this program. The tools, test equipment, materials and processes used in this laboratory are similar to those used in industry. Students should be able to use the various types of precision test equipment found in general use throughout the electronics industry for the purpose of analyzing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuitry."},"ceterms:alternateName":{"en-US":["Electronic Technology"]},"ceterms:subjectWebpage":"https://capecoraltech.edu/course/electronic-technology/","ceterms:credentialStatusType":{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/CredentialStatus","ceterms:targetNode":"credentialStat:Active","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Credential Status"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Active"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Awards of the credential are ongoing."}},"ceterms:learningDeliveryType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/Delivery","ceterms:targetNode":"deliveryType:InPerson","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Delivery Type"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"In-Person Only"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Delivery is only face-to-face."}}],"ceterms:instructionalProgramType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/Default.aspx?y=56","ceterms:targetNode":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/cipdetail.aspx?y=56\u0026cip=15.0303","ceterms:codedNotation":"15.0303","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Classification of Instructional Programs"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician."},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"A program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of electrical, electronics and communication engineers.
