Students will also be introduced to a variety of chemical reactions encountered in inorganic and organic chemistry. Completion of these courses along with several general education requirements partially meets the guidelines for the University of California Transfer Pathway in Chemistry. The general education requirements that must accompany these listed courses include two college-level courses in English composition and four courses from the categories of Arts and Humanities; Social and Behavioral Sciences; and Physical and Biological Sciences. Students should also consider taking Physics 39 and Math 263 prior to transfer.\n\nPlease see the college Catalog for the most up-to-date description."},"ceterms:accreditedBy":["_:4a780b81-9317-4bd7-b686-e073297c09db"],"ceterms:dateEffective":"2016-08-01","ceterms:subjectWebpage":"https://programmap.lavc.edu/academics","ceterms:estimatedDuration":[{"@type":"ceterms:DurationProfile","ceterms:exactDuration":"P20M"}],"ceterms:availabilityListing":["https://www.lavc.edu"],"ceterms:credentialStatusType":{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/CredentialStatus","ceterms:targetNode":"credentialStat:Active","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Credential Status"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Active"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Awards of the credential are ongoing."}},"ceterms:instructionalProgramType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/Default.aspx?y=55","ceterms:targetNode":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/cipdetail.aspx?y=56\u0026cip=40.0501","ceterms:codedNotation":"40.0501","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Classification of Instructional Programs"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Chemistry, General"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"A general program that focuses on the scientific study of the composition and behavior of matter, including its micro- and macro-structure, the processes of chemical change, and the theoretical description and laboratory simulation of these phenomena."}}]}
