The general track provides a firm grounding in economic theory and exposure to problems and techniques the student is likely to encounter in a business, nonprofit, or government agency environment. The quantitative track supplements the general track with extensive training in mathematical and statistical techniques required for graduate course work. This track is also recommended for those students who prefer a more quantitative approach to problem solving. Completion of this track fully prepares the student for entrance into the department's Master of Arts in Economics program at IUPUI as well as graduate programs at other universities.\n\nThe quantitative track requires an additional six courses (or seven courses, depending on the math sequence) consisting of the following:\nOne (1) 300 or 400 level elective (excluding E470) (3 credit hours)\nECON-E470: Introduction to Econometrics (3 credit hours)\nMATH 16500: Analytic Geometry Calculus I (4 credit hours)\nMATH 16600: Analytic Geometry Calculus II (4 credit hours)\nECON-E406: Senior Seminar (3 credit hours)"},"ceterms:subjectWebpage":"https://liberalarts.iupui.edu/econ/pages/undergraduate-folder/index.php","ceterms:credentialStatusType":{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/CredentialStatus","ceterms:targetNode":"credentialStat:Deprecated","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Credential Status"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Deprecated"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Awards of the credential have ceased."}},"ceterms:learningDeliveryType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/Delivery","ceterms:targetNode":"deliveryType:InPerson","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Delivery Type"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"In-Person Only"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Delivery is only face-to-face."}}],"ceterms:instructionalProgramType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/Default.aspx?y=56","ceterms:targetNode":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/cipdetail.aspx?y=56\u0026cip=45.0601","ceterms:codedNotation":"45.0601","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Classification of Instructional Programs"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Economics, General"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"A general program that focuses on the systematic study of the production, conservation and allocation of resources in conditions of scarcity, together with the organizational frameworks related to these processes.
