We offer M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. Our program includes six faculty members whose areas of specialization are syntax-semantics interface, sociolinguistics, pragmatic and discourse analysis, second language acquisition, instructed second language acquisition, experimental Spanish phonology, and Spanish as a heritage language. We foster a collaborative environment. Our faculty and students often produce joint research and present at major venues for Hispanic Linguistics and general Linguistics in their disciplinary areas. Our program promotes hands-on and cross-disciplinary engagement in order to strengthen both breadth and depth in graduate training.
