Students in this program will learn through observation, participation and measurement of the human form with a number of techniques, which range from muscular strength and cardio fitness to flexibility and more. Ivy Tech offers small classes with access to individualized instruction. This is where students will learn more about the anatomy and physiology involved in sport movement, explore the psychology of coaching, and analyze the fitness industries, among other requirements of this degree.\n\nWe also offer a variety of transfer opportunities into Indiana University Bloomington where students can specialize in Sports Marketing/Management, Fitness and Exercise Science. Students from our campus in Bloomington can transfer to the Department of Kinesiology in the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation at the Indiana University Bloomington Campus.\n\nStudents who are admitted to the program will be required to pay for and submit to a criminal background check, drug testing and physical exam. The details and process will be provided at an orientation. Please contact the program faculty for more detailed information."},"ceterms:subjectWebpage":"https://www.ivytech.edu/kinesiology/index.html","ceterms:commonConditions":["https://credentialengineregistry.org/resources/ce-b96bddc6-97eb-4824-a39d-d48468324b22"],"ceterms:credentialStatusType":{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/CredentialStatus","ceterms:targetNode":"credentialStat:Active","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Credential Status"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Active"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Awards of the credential are ongoing."}},"ceterms:learningDeliveryType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/Delivery","ceterms:targetNode":"deliveryType:InPerson","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Delivery Type"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"In-Person Only"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Delivery is only face-to-face."}}],"ceterms:instructionalProgramType":[{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/Default.aspx?y=56","ceterms:targetNode":"https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/cipdetail.aspx?y=56\u0026cip=31.0505","ceterms:codedNotation":"31.0505","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Classification of Instructional Programs"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Kinesiology and Exercise Science"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"A scientific program that focuses on the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and biophysics of human movement, and applications to exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation.
