Graduates earn an Associate of Applied Science degree, and are prepared to take the national certification examination for registered health information technicians (RHIT) offered through the American Health Information Management Association. Students must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 to graduate. All of the core courses in the Health Information Management program are offered online. The Health Information Management associate degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The accreditation has been reaffirmed through 2029.
