Students who complete this certificate program will be proficient in the methodology of working with children with a variety of special needs and including typical/atypical development, services needed, interventions, working with families, behavior plans, observations, classroom management techniques, and adapting curriculum and lesson plans to accommodate specific needs of special children. Program Learning Outcomes: 1. Successfully provide services in an Early Childhood classroom and or home based program to children with special needs and their families. 2. Provide high quality services for special needs children in programs that comply with licensing and Title V regulations. 3.
