Students will become knowledgeable in both the business and clinical skills necessary in a healthcare provider office, and may also choose to continue their studies toward a bachelor's degree in health information technology.\nThose who complete this program will know how to provide patient care safely and in accordance with medical assistant regulations, laws, and patient rights; how to perform administrative functions in an medical office; and how to clearly and effectively communicate with patients, their families, and health care team members.
