This accelerated program is divided into three main content areas: nursing science, developmental disorders and psychiatric nursing. Program participants will receive didactic and hands-on experiences to apply the nursing process in the planning and implementation of care for clients with a variety of special needs. Participants will be introduced to the professional psychiatric technician stands related to professionalism and safety, and grow in the role of client advocate and sponsor. The program will prepare the student in a variety of health care settings.
