The Addiction Studies Program is accredited by the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Educators (CAADE). Each \"advanced counseling skills\" three-unit course provides 54 hours of \"officially approved\" Continu\u0002ing Education for licensed MFT/LCSW, RN, and certified CATC, CADC I \u0026 II, NCAC/MAC, and is required by the California Office of Alcohol and Drug Program regulations to be accepted by \"all certi\u0002fying organizations.\" Advanced counseling skills courses: Addiction Studies 011, 014, 015, 017, 018, 020 and 023. With the exception of Addiction Studies 009, 011, \u0026 091, all Addic\u0002tion Studies courses are CSU transferable as non-GE elective units. TRANSFER STUDENTS Completing the Associate Degree does not necessarily meet the university-admission requirements for transfer. An Associate Degree is not a requirement for transfer to either the CSU or UC campuses. Private and out-of-state colleges and universities have unique transfer requirements. However, if you would like to transfer to a university and earn an associate degree, early educational planning can make this goal achievable. You should meet with a counselor early in your studies to develop an Educational Plan that fulfills both transfer requirements and associate degree requirements. See page 286 of this catalog for more information on transfer requirements and resources.
