In Florida, the physical therapy programs are five years in length and lead to M.S. degrees in physical therapy: The UF, FAMU, UCF, UNF, and FIU offer degrees in physical therapy. All schools require that students successfully complete the courses listed below. The programs are highly competitive, so students are advised to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, although a higher GPA is needed to meet minimum standards at some of the schools. Students must also complete volunteer time under the supervision of a registered physical therapist. Some schools also require their applicants to take the Allied Health Professions Admissions Test. Check with the program advisor for more details.
