As journeyperson operating engineers, they will be well-prepared to handle design, installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of construction situations. Technical courses include heavy construction fundamentals, basic machine operations (as well as forklift, compaction equipment, backhoe, grader, and dozer operations), construction drawings and methods, safety and loss prevention, and professional development. This program is restricted to individuals currently participating in a registered apprenticeship program recognized by the Ohio State Apprenticeship Council.
