The dynamic and integrative discipline of consumer science studies consumer decision-making from a behavioral/attitudinal/economic perspective. Consumer Science's current areas of signature research center on patient centered healthcare delivery, disease prevention, healthy lifestyle, sustainable consumption behaviors, maternal health, and microfinance, as well as other emerging topics. Graduate students in the department learn to conduct and apply theoretically grounded, cutting-edge research in one of three programs: Consumer Behavior, Family and Consumer Economics or Consumer Health. Students' coursework will emphasize integration, insight, and critical thinking while they will conduct research in one-on-one mentor relationships."},"ceterms:subjectWebpage":"https://www.purdue.edu/gradschool/prospective/majors.html","ceterms:credentialStatusType":{"@type":"ceterms:CredentialAlignmentObject","ceterms:framework":"https://credreg.net/ctdl/terms/CredentialStatus","ceterms:targetNode":"credentialStat:Active","ceterms:frameworkName":{"en-US":"Credential Status"},"ceterms:targetNodeName":{"en-US":"Active"},"ceterms:targetNodeDescription":{"en-US":"Awards of the credential are ongoing."}}}
